Packing 101
Learn how to pack like a pro for your next trip!
Limit Overpacking
Overpacking can be hard to avoid. I always recommend making a packing list far in advance, so you have somewhere to add items as you think of them. There are unlimited premade lists online that you can tweak to fit your trip perfectly. Finding essential clothing items that are comfortable and can be worn in multiple different ways can also be a lifesaver. If you limit the amount you bring with you, there is more room for souvenirs!
Invest in Luggage
Finding the perfect luggage for you is essential for those who have caught the travel bug. You can find suitcases that won't break the bank that have organization components inside, which can be super helpful. I also always recommend buying luggage that will stand out at baggage claim, so you don't have to stress about someone mistaking their bag for yours, and so you can get out of the airport quickly to start enjoying your trip!
Optimize Space
If you ever struggle to fit everything in your suitcase or keep things organized, there are a ton of ways to solve your problem. Compression packing cubes have been a lifesaver for me as you can pack outfits per day in each cube and eliminate having a messy suitcase after the first day. These cubes can also fit a lot, so you can pack double the amount in the same suitcase! Another option I recommend is using vacuum-sealed space bags which can free up even more space.
Opting for a Carry-on?
In the article linked below, U.S. News takes you through the guidelines for carry-on luggage for all airlines throughout the world. This article highlights the exact size and weight limitations for carry-on luggage, so you don't have to worry about the extra cost and stress of having to check your carry-on at the gate. Whether you're flying in the U.S. or abroad, you can find the length, width, weight, and personal item rules for all airlines.
